Tay Wright is a born leader from Smyrna, GA, the oldest of 5 children. His mom worked concierge security and his late father was a coach and entrepreneur. Tay has lived the majority of his life in Georgia, but was also able to see and live in other parts of the world, such as Indianapolis, Wisconsin, Oregon, & even Canada. He graduated from Utah State University in 2014 with a Bachelor’s in Sociology.
Unlike most young dreamer boys, he made his dream a reality. Tay played in the National Football League from 2014-2019, after which he was blessed with the opportunity to pour back into the youth by coaching high school football and leading his team to the playoffs for the 3rd straight year. The winning mentality never strayed too far from his life. Coaching and training became a huge component of Tay’s work and leisure. He also enjoys music, podcasts, and wild animal documentaries.
Tay looks forward to utilizing his time at Focus South to grow and develop his entrepreneurial mindset and follow in his father’s footsteps. He ultimately hopes to open up a training facility for athletes to benefit from during their offseason, become a home owner, and purchase his daughter her first car!
